In the growing electric vehicle (EV) market, EN1 aspired to be the leading name in Nigeria. To achieve this, they needed more than just a cutting-edge product—they required a compelling digital presence that could connect with potential customers, elevate their brand, and drive conversions.
My role as Design manager was to spearhead their digital transformation, ensuring that the digital experience mirrored the luxury and performance of their vehicles.

The Why
EN1 was targeting Nigerian consumers—a market driven by rising fuel prices and growing interest in sustainable transportation options. My task was to craft a user-centric digital platform that would:
Showcase EN1’s electric vehicles in a compelling, premium way.
Allow users to explore and customize vehicles.
Promote brand merchandise and generate additional revenue.
Create a backend system to streamline operations for EN1’s internal team.
But it wasn’t just about creating a visually appealing site. we had to ensure a seamless, intuitive experience across all digital touchpoints (website, mobile app, configurator, kitshop, and admin portal). Each element had to embody the luxury and performance EN1 promised.

Working with the lead designer, we explored several concepts for how EN1 could present a cohesive, premium brand experience across its platforms. We focused on:

We moved quickly into prototyping, focusing on creating intuitive user flows that balanced luxury with ease of use.
Website & Mobile App:
Designed a minimalist homepage with high-quality images and smooth interactions, making it easy for users to explore vehicles while feeling the premium nature of the brand.
Developed a car configurator, enabling users to visualize their ideal vehicle—color, trim, features—in real time. This added a personal touch, letting customers feel connected to their purchase.
Created a kitshop for EN1-branded merchandise, reinforcing brand identity and allowing for additional revenue streams.

The How
The first step was understanding who we were designing for. EN1’s primary audience was Nigerian users seeking alternatives to rising petrol costs while embracing luxury and sustainable options. They needed:
A simple, intuitive platform that made it easy to explore vehicles.
Content that felt relevant to their local culture and needs.
A seamless mobile-first experience, as a majority of users would be interacting through smartphones.
We conducted market research and user interviews to identify key pain points, preferences, and behaviors. These insights became the foundation for the design approach.
Framing the problem
Based on user feedback, the challenge was clear: we needed to create a premium yet practical digital experience for EN1, one that balanced aesthetic appeal with functionality. Users wanted an effortless, luxurious journey, whether they were browsing cars or purchasing merchandise.
