Growing up in 🇳🇬, I was that kid who always had a pencil in hand. Drawing was my escape, my passion. Watching my sketches light up the faces of family and friends was pure magic. That’s where it all began—my obsession with art gradually evolved into a love for design. Early on, I jumped into graphic design and never looked back.

Everything started to align when I got to university. I landed my first paid gig doing what I loved, turning my hobby into a real job. I still feel incredibly lucky for that, 

But, I was hungry for more

My passion for design deepened, and during my bachelor’s, I started attending (and even hosting) meetups and conferences. That’s when I decided to pivot from graphic design to user experience design. It opened up a whole new world, letting me explore how users interact with digital products on a deeper level.

What happened next could fill a whole book, but I’ll keep it brief.

After graduating, I made a big move to Lagos, knowing it was the place to be if I wanted to do my best work. I started off staying with my aunt and came across an internship called HNG. I went all in, graduated as the top designer in my cohort, which led to my first job in the Nigerian tech space. In my two years there, I was honored as the best designer at the company. But I didn’t stop there. I switched jobs, gained more experience, and embraced new cultures, meeting incredible people along the way.

I’ve been lucky to work with inspiring clients, partners, and managers across industries like hospitality, education, finance, e-commerce, gaming, and entertainment. Each one brought a fresh perspective that continues to influence my approach.

Ultimately, I’ve come to see design as the study of people. Trends may shift, but it’s always about understanding and evolving with users’ needs. That’s what keeps me passionate.
